Privacy policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

At Hommes Sept-Îles, confidentiality is at the heart of what we do. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, how we protect it and what your rights are, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

In short

  • This website uses no tracking cookies, no analytics tools and no advertising.
  • We only collect the information you choose to send us.
  • We never sell, rent or trade your information.
  • You can access, correct or have your information removed at any time.

Who is responsible for your information

The person responsible for the protection of personal information at Hommes Sept-Îles is the executive director. You can reach them at 893 Brochu Avenue, Sept-Îles, Quebec G4R 2Y7, by email at gestion@hommesseptils.com or by phone at 418 961-1530.

The information we collect

We only collect information when you give it to us yourself:

  • Website forms (appointment booking and contact): your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message or request.
  • Direct communications: what you share with us by phone, by email or in person.
  • Donations: online donations are processed by the Zeffy platform. Your payment information is entered directly with Zeffy; we never receive it. We only receive what is needed to issue your tax receipt.

Information related to our support services (case files) is governed by our internal policy on the management of personal information, available on request.

What we don't collect

This website places no tracking or advertising cookies in your browser. It uses no audience measurement tools (such as Google Analytics), no social media pixels and no profiling tools. That's why there's no cookie banner to accept. During your visit only, the site keeps a small technical note in your browser so the welcome animation doesn't replay on every page; it contains no personal information and is erased when you close the tab.

Why we use it

  • To answer your request and call you back.
  • To schedule an appointment and provide the services you ask for.
  • To process your donation and issue a tax receipt.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We never use your information for any other purpose without your consent.

Who has access

Only the staff members who need it to answer or support you have access to your information. We don't share it with anyone else, except with your consent, or where the law requires or allows it, notably to prevent an act of violence, including a suicide, when there is a serious risk of death or serious injury.

Technical providers

To run the website, we rely on a few providers:

  • Webflow hosts the website and receives the forms you fill out. Its servers may be located outside Quebec, notably in the United States.
  • Google Fonts and jsDelivr provide fonts and some display scripts. Like any website your browser visits, they receive your IP address in order to deliver these files.
  • Zeffy processes online donations under its own privacy policy.

Before entrusting information outside Quebec, we make sure it receives adequate protection there. Links to other websites (Google Maps, Facebook, partner resources) are governed by those websites' policies.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or as long as the law requires (for example, for tax receipts). After that, we destroy it securely.

How we protect it

The website is served over a secure connection (HTTPS). Access to information is limited to authorized staff, and our staff are bound by confidentiality.

Your rights

At any time, you can:

  • ask to see the information we hold about you;
  • have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • withdraw your consent or ask that it be deleted, subject to our legal obligations.

To exercise your rights or ask a question, write to gestion@hommesseptils.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. If a significant change affects how we use your information, we will make it clear on the website.
